Hillsdale Classical Family Learning Community (HC) is a hybrid, cooperative, publicly-funded school in Hillsdale, MI. HC was founded in 2016 by a group of parents. It is still parent-run today. Tuition is free and open to students in Pre-K through 10th grade.
HC is offering two types of enrollment for the 2026/2027 school year:
ONSITE and OFFSITE

ONSITE
Hillsdale Classical onsite students learn in the classroom from 8am-3pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday and at home on Thursday and Friday. Onsite students study Math, Language Arts, History, and Science, the fine and performing arts. Electives and athletics include: Visual Art, Drama, Chorus, Taekwondo, Irish Dance, Latin, Band, Track, Cross Country, Bowling, and Basketball. At the core of our philosophy is the primary role of the family in a child’s education and development. Onsite families volunteer for a minimum of three hours each week and assist with home day assignments.
HC’s onsite program is available to students in DK-8th grade. 9th and 10th grade options are being developed for the coming school year.

OFFSITE
Hillsdale Classical offsite students learn fully at home under the direction of a parent. This option is great for existing homeschoolers and families interested in transitioning to homeschooling. HC offers offsite students curriculum, support, and funding for homeschool materials and activities while ensuring that parents have the flexibility and freedom to direct the education and pursuits of their children. Offsite students are welcome to participate HC in athletics and Irish dance classes.
HC’s offsite program is available to students in DK-10th grade.
* DK and K Students must be 5 years old by December 1st for both onsite and offsite enrollment.
